A solidly built nest made of wood and hardboard, for medium to large breeds of chickens. Up to the size of hybrid hens (or comparable large breed poultry), both these larger nests and the smaller nests can be taken. For larger breeds, it is essential to take these larger nests.

It is possible to remove the eggs from a foam padded drawer at the front (no automatic, no mechanics). However, it is also possible to remove the drawer from the back - this would allow the laying nests to be integrated into a partition wall of the coop and the eggs could be removed without having to enter the coop itself. This is also possible via the outer wall of the barn (depending on the construction of the barn) with a little more effort: you make an opening in the outer wall the size of the drawer. And attach a slider on the outside to protect the nest from moisture and vermin ingress.

The individual laying nests are available as an upper part with a sloping roof (prevents soiling by animals sitting on it), or as a lower part with a flat roof (more laying nests can be stacked on top). Both upper and lower parts can of course be placed separately.

All laying nests are optionally equipped with a complete set of laying mats made of high-quality (!) grass carpet.

The front approach bar can be folded up. Folding up is necessary in the evening, when the approach bar in your coop is higher than the perches, otherwise your chickens will use them for sleeping.

It is recommended to place the nests at a height of approx. 80cm.

One laying place is sufficient for 3-5 chickens. So a 2-person laying nest is enough for 6-10 chickens - a 3-person laying nest is enough for 9-15 chickens. However, you should rather stick to the lower limit to ensure that really all eggs are laid in the nests.
